Singing Bowl · Hanging Set · Meditation
Three bowls. One stand. The clearest sound signal in any meditation.
Rs. 15,000.00
Three small Japanese-style singing bowls graduated in size, connected on a cord that hangs from a gong stand or any suitable fixture. Each bowl produces a high, clear tone when gently tapped — pure, shimmering, immediate. Used to open a meditation session, close it, or mark a transition between depths. The sound of these bowls cuts through silence cleanly and fades gracefully, leaving the mind exactly where it needs to be.
What makes this set different
Three sizes. Three tones. One clean signal. Each bowl in the set is a different size — 7 cm, 9 cm and 10 cm — producing a distinct tone. Tapped in sequence from smallest to largest, they create a graduating sound that leads the mind gently downward into stillness. Tapped individually, each one marks a moment with a single, precise, clear note.
The hanging design means the bowls vibrate completely freely — nothing dampens the resonance. The result is a tone that is purer and more sustained than the same bowl sitting on a surface. The cord connecting the three bowls is handmade by us.
What's included
Step 1: Attach the cord to the stand and place it in your space.
Step 2: Tap each bowl gently with the mallet from top to bottom — or bottom to top — in a slow, deliberate sequence. Allow each tone to fade before moving to the next.
Step 3: Use at the beginning, end, or any transition point in a meditation or yoga session.
These bowls produce a high, clear, shimmering tone — bright and pure, with a clean decay that fades evenly without wobble or distortion. The tone sits in the upper register and carries well across a room without needing to be struck hard.
The hanging design is key to the sound quality. When a bowl sits on a surface, the surface absorbs part of the vibration and dampens the resonance. When it hangs freely, nothing interrupts the vibration — the bowl rings its full duration. This is why hanging bowls sound noticeably cleaner and more sustained than the same bowl placed on a cushion or mat.
Tapped in sequence, the three bowls produce a graduating sound — high, slightly lower, lower again — that creates a natural sense of descent and inward movement. Practitioners use this sequence specifically because of the way the mind follows a descending tone into stillness.
Meditation sessions. The most common use — a clear, gentle sound signal to mark the beginning and end of a sit. Simpler and more immediate than a bowl played by hand, and easier to produce consistently every time.
Yoga classes. Used to bring a group into stillness at the start of class, or to signal the beginning of Shavasana. The high tone carries across a large studio without needing to be amplified or struck hard.
Sound healing sessions. Used alongside larger therapeutic instruments to signal transitions between phases of a session. Where a gong or large bowl creates a sound field, these bowls create a single precise signal moment.
Mindfulness and group programmes. Used by facilitators to signal the beginning and end of mindfulness exercises, timed reflections, or group pauses. Consistent, clear and non-intrusive.
